The weather may be getting cooler, but Mystic Vision Players is heating up this Fall with some wonderful productions.

Leading our line up this weekend, you do NOT want to miss your LAST THREE CHANCES to see the dark comedy about sex, sexuality and the internet, Speech and Debate directed by MVP's own Bobby Devarona and starring Ali Archetti (Dog Sees God), Brandon Arias (All Shook Up), Roberto Forero and Ashley Seldon (reasons to be pretty). Centering around three high school students who become friends in the most unlikely way, Speech and Debate runs this Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8:00 pm at the Union County Performing Arts Center Loft Theatre.

We are deep into rehearsals for our production of RENT directed by Howard M. Whitmore, which runs November 7, 8,14 and 15 at 8:00 on the Union County Performing Arts Center Main Stage. Set in NYC's East Village and based loosely on Puccini's La Boheme, Jonathan Larson's RENT is about falling in love, finding your voice and living for today. Winner of the TONY Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, RENT is an inspiring pop cultural phenomenon about friends and artists struggling with addiction, poverty, AIDS and most of all, love that resonates with audiences of all ages. Listen to the songs that have touched our hearts, and watch the musical that defined a generation.

Finally, December brings the family-favorite It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play to the UCPAC Loft Theatre. Recreating the classic film in front of a live audience, five actors take on more than thirty roles as our expert foley artist takes you inside the 1930's radio age performing sound effects using everyday objects!  Running December 12-20, this is sure to be a hit with children of all ages!
